Welcome to the Calderdale Big Band website! We are a Halifax based big band who play a range of swing, jazz, and contemporary compositions. Whether it be a fundraising concert or a dinner dance, wedding or festival, we are sure to bring a touch of class to your event and get everyone's feet tapping.   

We perform the Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Ted Heath and more, through the 1930s, 40s, 50s through to the present day. Our extensive repertoire includes jazz standards, R'n'B, charleston, rock and roll, latin, dance and contemporary music.
